Inveterate notecrafter.
Stationery fanatic.
Lifelong writer.

In his #1 New York Times bestselling book, Outliers, journalist Malcolm Gladwell introduced and popularized “the 10,000-Hour Rule” — the notion that achieving expertise in something becomes virtually inevitable after immersing yourself in it for 10,000 hours total.

Having spent most of my years nurturing a passion for sending, receiving, and collecting cards, letters, and notes (both on paper and electronically), and occupying professional roles that involve extensive writing and editing, I’ve blown past that number a few times over when it comes to correspondence. Whether that makes me an expert is anyone’s guess, but it could be safely said that I’ve picked up a thing or two along the way.

This blog is intended to share with you the joys, rewards, and lessons of my journey so far. Curl up somewhere cozy and dive in!
